How do you do that? Is it possible to do that?

To self DQ? yes, but not without penalties.

You send a request through HELP -->Contact Us-->General Inquiry

The penalty is that the self DQ is treated like any other DQ. If you have been DQd in the last 25 entries, you cannot self DQ, and I believe you have to have 25 entries in before you can self DQ (but I could be wrong on this one). If after you self DQ you enter another challenge and it is DQd in the next 25 challenges, you will be suspended according to the current DQ rules.

I have self DQ'd twice on DPC,and am currently considering doing it for my current Chair entry....hehe.

Yes, that's exactly how it works. The one thing I don't agree with as a policy is the self DQ leading to a suspension if you happen to get a normal DQ within 25 consecutive challenges. Easier to keep track of logistic wise, but I don't see the purpose it serves. One example that has been used for a self DQ is that a model changes their mind and doesn't want you to use their photo in a challenge. Ok, fair enough....but I don't think you should be penalized for pulling it. IMO the suspensions should only be in effect with two normal DQ's based on rules violations etc. Anyone who says it's there to prevent people from abusing the self DQ option is wrong because you can still only do that once per 25 challenges. At least that's how I know and see it.

But if you could pull a shot any time without any penalties or suspension you would be able to manipulate your total average score.

Yes, if you could pull any shot at any time you certainly would manipulate it dramatically. If you are only allowed one self DQ if you felt you really needed to only once in every 25 challenges I don't see it affecting your overall average score that much. You may be right though.

Riding that line between a 5 and 6 a little too close for comfort. Teetering between a 6.14 and my current score of:

Here's hoping for some more 7's or better! :)

If I can just stay above my average with this freaky shot...I would be soooooo Happy. My heart is beginning to beat normally after the low 4's
Somebody got a pic up in the challenge (very funny Title) and earlier it pretty much was a viable option to replicate the shot...Glad I did not. ;)

The hit I took yesterday wasn't quite as harsh, but mine dropped significantly as well, and I lost my 6+ score. :(
