As for as who to watch...

#9 is the QB for the Saints (Manning plays QB for the Colts). #9 Brees is really good. He has many to throw to:

12 Marques Colston
19 Devery Henderson
17 Robert Mechem
88 Shockey
25 Reggie Bush - Bush also runs back punts and can score on them.

Runners - Reggie Bush, 21 Mike Bell, 23 Pierre Thomas - Many say that the Colts and Saints passing game will be a "wash" meaning they will cancel each other out. Saints have the better running game. This is important because if your team is running the ball well, this opens up your passing game. It makes the other team have to "come up" to guard against the run...when that happens, the field opens up for a big pass.

Saints defense is rough. They hit hard and they cause "turnovers" (steal the ball).

I won't go in to the Colts players but they have many good ones. One, Dwight Freeny on defense has a badly hurt ankle. He will not be close to being 100%. He is their #1 pass rusher. Without him, many think #9 for the Saints will have more time and more targets because he won't have to keep a "runner" or "tightend(receiver)" in to block.

Thanks for the good answer. Makes it more interesting. I thought you only talked like that in funky jazzclubs :p Looking forward to the game! Can hardly wait

We are a big football town. The Saints have been losers for many years but the fans continue to go to the games. We thought we would never reach the Superbowl.

To see what happened two weeks ago after the Saints won the chance to go to the Superbowl go to NOLA.com and look for the videos they posted after the last game ! Tune in tonight. If we win, it will be really nuts !

Whoa! That reason alone makes me cheering for the Saints. Can't imagine the party and joy after such a win, if they do. Gonna go and make tons of snack now. Good luck to all of you Saints fans!

And one last thing about Football....if the score is tied at the end of regulation time, you play another "quarter". The only thing bad about that is that there is a coin flip to see who gets the ball first....BUT the first team that scores WINS. The other team doesn't get a chance to score again. I'd hate to see any team "lose" like that. It has to be changed.

I read that in the rules. I hope it doesn't happen. Seems so unfair. They could at least played the whole quarter

I miss the good ole days as well. I would like to see it as you said, outdoors, grass AND a 2 pm. start time at the latest. I miss the sun shining during the game. Oh, and one more thing. I hate having the Superbowl in February. I liked it in the 3 week of January. Fourth week at the latest. Then it would fall on my b'day some years (29th). The season feels a little too dragged out now.

Oakland Raiders...Super Bowl champs in 2011! (If they get rid of Russell) LOL.

I was sure I saw some snow on a field today at "the road to superbowl" or something.

Snow on fields during the season yes, but not any Superbowl in a long time.

Saints won the first battle, the coin toss. I was surprised they didn't defer to the second half.

I am a little surprised at how much the crowd is behind the Saints. Ken was right. ;-)

After reading the thread from front to back, I think it may be the only right thing he said in it.

Colts score! That drive was good for 96 yards!

Saints do look clearly outmatched right now. Sad. Oh well.

It's not the first game that the Saints have been behind a little bit. Oooh, seems like the Saints are moving the ball on this drive.

Yah, I don't actually follow football, but in any sport where a team could win a championship for the first time ever, I'll follow it to see if they do. I like that kind of thing.

I fully expect the Saints to be competitive and eventually lead in the score. My original prediction for a total of at least 80 points in the game may have to be revised downward though. ;-)

Can you believe just how powerful that he looked on that play. He moved that 300lb piece of meat like it was nothing......on a bum ankle! Then one handed took Breese to the ground like a ragdoll.......I do not want to make that man mad. :D
