Can i use my old EN-EL3 from my d70 with my d300s? |

I doubt it. I could not use mine with the D300 |

When I bought my D700 I had was wondering the same thing, but I think there's something in the manual for the D700 that explicitly states not to! Check your manual, it may mention something in there. |

No you can't. I just tried, it has different notches(3 vs. 2) on the bottom of the battery so you can't even get it fully into the compartment.

I actually just re-read over this last night in the manual on page 25.
Incompatible Batteries
The D300S can not be used with the EN-EL3 or the EN-EL3a rechargeable Li-ion batteries for the D100, D70 series, or D50 with the MS-D70 CR2 battery holder.)
