Hi all, was reading one of the forum threads since searching stock photography and wanted to ask you all a few questions.
1. Do you enjoy stock photography?
2. How long have you been apart of stock photography?
3. How much have you been making on each site per month and with how many uploaded pictures?
4. What do you typically put up pictures of?
5. What's your choice of camera and lenses?
Thanks in advanced to any one who replies. I'm quite interested in seeing people's success since they've started.

I'm a novice when it comes to stock photography. I didn't get any accepted by iStockPhoto, but I think that's largely because the pictures I chose weren't really of stock variety.
I'm planning on buying bulbs & flashes - and that should get me more approvals.
I did have a few pictures accepted on other websites, but not seen any money yet.
I think the best subjects for stock are items that people would search for - I just need to figure out what :-) |

Another way to find types of images that do sell is to look through magazines. Look at the images and graphics that are used in the ads. If the don't show the product then they are good for stock photography. Also sometimes the images that you find in the articles are probably from stock agencies.
Walk though a card store. Many of the image that you find on cards are stock photography. For example I believe that I saw this images on a postcard before //www.dreamstime.com/roya...3978556 (not my image)
Go through a frame store and look at the images in the frames. These are also most likely stock images.
After a wile you will develop an eye for what are stock images when you see them in your surroundings.
