ok, I've asked this in the threads before, but never got an answer.

I selected a photo. I didn't comment on it that day. Now when I go to the cc area, I don't know how to get back to that photo. Please explain.

I did that as well

vawendy. I had already written the critique and when I went back to paste it into the comments it was gone...I went ahead and commented on the photo and pm'ed SC, but never heard back from them. It wasn't counted on my critiques and I guess it is back in the Q? I wasn't sure what to do with it and I'm still not sure if it happens again.

I just didn't pay attention to what the photo was. Stupidly enough, I've done it twice, and I feel bad if they never got their critique. I'll just make sure that I bookmark the photo so it doesn't happen again.

To clarify, the critique requests only sit in the active queue during the results week (ie while the winners are still on the front page). Once that week is up, all requests, regardless of whether they'd been allocated or not, are removed from the active queue and replaced with the new requests from the next challenge. In other words, you have to complete a critique that you allocated by the time the challenge rolls over, as once the window is past it can't be put back into the queue. However, you can always make a critique-like comment on the image (if you can find it again), but it won't be counted as an official critique in the system.

So the moral of this tale is... check for when the challenge rolls over, as that's your deadline :)

Manic, the information you posted is very helpful. I didn't realize they "rolled" over with the challenges.

I just tackled one. It was a little difficult because it was only my 6th critique and it was by

posthumous. :)
