Well, she didn't remove all of the interesting comments yet.

Here's one that implies that she has been selling "her" work:

"Dawn Chabot 09:29 PM on March 06, 2009
Debbie-Such amazing talent, are you sure we are related? I hope to check out your display at the Audobon Center. If I purchase one of your owl photos for my Mom, would you sign it for me if I hunt you down? Dawn

I just called the pizza place and it is in fact the correct one. She is a patron there and I informed the employee that the majority of the photos were stolen. The employee suggested that I contact her and I told her we had contacted her and that she had removed them from her website. I informed the pizza place that she is a photo thief and using other peoples photography.

I would suggest a couple of more calls wouldn't hurt. Anyone game?

eta: She is not getting paid to display the photos at the pizza place.

Well now, this is ironic. She apparently had a letter to the editor of the local newspaper published in which she points out something to the effect that the Board of Selectmen allow "others to continuously lie and deceive them".

Look not only at the part titled Editor but also the one headed Letter to the Editor

Sent to the Chamber of Commerce that she is a member of

Just to inform you that one of your 'members' Deborah Seamon of Natural Photography, who claims to be a photographer. Has been stealing other peoples photographs and claiming them as her own. She has also been selling other peoples work and making a profit from these peoples work. Here is the discussion of photographers who found their shots in her portfolio and her selling them.

As you know this is illegal and can be prosecuted up to 5 years and a $25,000 fine. I am sorry to bring this to your attention, but I am positive that this is not the kind of behavior that is welcome in the Chamber of Commerce and shall be dealt with forthwith.

Have emailed the Concord Chamber of Commerce and informed them of her photo frauds. Oops, Juliette beat me.

I think it's time to contact the Audubon Society in Concord...

edit for spelling

Hmm time to get the newspaper involved??

((Seriously, my computer is pissing me off, this is what happens when I try to get all techy)

Hey, how did you discover this in the first place? Also, I'm certain she is not the only one out there doing this...

OK now - very impressive turnaround and we got a result.

How does this prevent the next doozer from doing the same thing?

I have absolutely no clue as to the logistics of how to do it, if it can be done, but is there any chance that the rather diffuse entity 'we' could offer to drop charges in return for her being pretty public about how her fingers are burning?

Just a thought.

If anyone else is doing this they should read this thread and decide if it is worth it

Maybe a little too fast -- it might have been good to "gather more evidence" before warning her ... she'll (probably) now just find another hosting site and start all over again. Perhaps someone should search Flickr, pBase, and other common hosting sites ...

And so to bed - 1.20 am CET

This was impressive - I'm glad I'm not her.

She just posted this on her Facebook account (yes she actually accepted my friend request even after what we just did to her)

Deborah Seamon: don't go on the facebook page for the photography it's not mine it's a virus

Some shots are in my viewing history but I don't know how to save them.
