I've herd rumors that at the cost of your warranty, you can set up the iPhone to produce a wireless signal for laptops and sch. Is this true? If anyone knows how or has a tutorial that can explain, please post here. Also, I've herd you can do it without loosing the warranty, that wold be fabo... Thanks in advance!

NetShare is no longer available to the US itune store. Sucks, but rumor has it AT&T was afraid that their 3G network would not be able to handle the overload, so they no longer let the app be sold here...at least for now.

hmmm, well i dunno bout that, if you have a droid like me, or any verizon pda for that matter you can use it like an air card when connected to your laptop, is that what you mean?

Using the iPhone as a broadband modem is allowable in the UK on O2 (built into the phone), however as soon as you set up tethering they charge you heaps for it.

I doubt you want to pay more/another subscription otherwise you wouldn't be asking about setting it up on your iphone, but regardless, you may be interested in "mifi" it's a personal wireless hotspot and connects over a 3g network. In the UK it is avaliable on 3, I havn't got one but I like the idea and think it could be useful. A review can be found here: //www.theregister.co.uk/2009/10/14/me_and_my_mifi/

For those who didn't read the tutorial I posted, Wired magazine, from what I read in the article, says that for $10 you can double your iPhone as a modem with a cool app, they don't charge you heaps and you don't loose your warranty, I m yet to try this out, but when I prove its functionality, I will post back here! =D

Man, I don't know where you live, but in Eugene AT&T cannot handle the 3G load already. More dropped calls in more places!

I live in Alaska, and here I have never had a dropped call on my iPhone. I have had nothing but good service from AT&T and the iPhone. I did notice on my recent trip to the Detroit metro area of Michigan that the browser on the iPhone was slower....could be from having so many people in one area on the 3G. We haven't had to worry about too many people using 3G here in AK.

Your phone needs to be jailbroken for this to work, as the app was pulled from the app store over a year ago.

I don't think you read my post. As said before the US itunes store pulled the app. Even with a jailbroke phone, you cannot download the needed app. You would have to find someone else who had the app and get it from them.
