I consider my Motion submission to be at least an average pic... a 5. Basic idea is there, technically alright... a 5.

But how does it happen that so many people think it sucks? My score is dropping faster than a priest can run during an alter boy convention. I hate you all. May all your digital cameras run on Microsoft Windows in it's next software update.

I feel better already! :)

I've certainly been in this situation a few times in recent weeks, and I tend to come to the conclusion that perhaps my picture did indeed suck :)

I think I'll be heading for my lowest score so far, this week. I thought the picture was better than my previous efforts too. I've not had any comments either telling what is wrong with it, just one from someone who liked it!

Could it be that the photos with borders are getting marked down by those people that failed to read the NEW rules?? I have what I think is a great photo this week, and it's getting a lot lower score than I had planned it to. Oh well...always next week!!

Bamaster, i'll be happy to give you a 10 (it's in binary though).

It can certainly be frustrating sometimes and indeed, you can feel like giving everybody 1s. Look at your submissions and see how you might have improved them. Good luck with your future challenges. You're bound to submit a winner, then you'll be able to say "there, now pooh on you!". :)

I know my photo isn't very good this week, so I accept the less then great score it is getting.

Or maybe some people are voting low because of some twisted belief like revealed in this comment I received:

...
I think it is reprehensible that anyone would consider bringing a child into this world. If you truly loved your unborn child you would spare it the life of suffering, depression and misery it will undoubtedly have in this cruel oppressive world. Humans should allow our race to die out since we have only grown more cold, heartless and selfish as we progress. There should be manditory sterilizations. We must think beyond our own selfish desires to propigate our species and our fear of death! Love your children enough not to even conceive them!
...

Geesh!

Doesn't more Vitamin C help?

why oppress the radicals? Free them, I say! Free them! For it is in the gloom of our our dismal existance which we hear the shadow of a faint memory. Perchance to dream upon an autumn shower near your radical of preserved choice. Shall I continue? Nay. NAY! Hark the herald sing! For a wise, gifted man once said and it echos now more truer than the sun is warm... papa needs a brand new bag.

It's quite clear that this comment is one that should be ignored. It even has nothing what so ever to do with your photo, rather how this person feels about a particular event. I am truely sorry if you think that we all share the same view as this person. I am SURE that's not the case.
It is very obvious what to do with this comment.

yea i felt the same way sunday night... but i should have kept my trap shut.. except i felt that my photo was pretty bad, i was surprised at the score...

i'm well aware my picture this week is not one of my best. ...but i don't think it's a 3. i think it's about average. maybe a 5.

average should be 5. 10 should be the best. 1 should be the worst.

not 3.5 being average, 1 being basically standard photography, and 10 being unattainable.
