Isn't it great to know you have more than one great entry to choose from (and I'm so glad they're on my team).
12/31/2009 07:39:53 PM · #77
Yup! We had lots to chose from :)

Happy New Year everyone!

So, how do we determine who wins this head to head? :)

Highest combined team average wins. I think it's going to be close!

If I'd withdraw, we'd win, I'm sure.

Amazing what you can do when you're stuck in a meeting you don't want to be in!

LOL, know what you mean about the meetings.

Congratulations on being high individual score, beautiful image.

I also just noticed the Melethia and Zeuszen received Posthumous awards for their images. Fun stuff.

I think we are all winners, and I love my LX3...I wouldn't mind doing another side challenge like this sometime.
01/08/2010 08:34:31 AM · #95
Well, this defintely proves that the 'real thing' is much better than the cheap imitation :P

Just kidding of course :) Fun challenge with lots of good pictures. I submittet my shot to Norway's most read national newspaper for a online readers gallery and they ended up using it as a centerfold picture in the the paper copy spread over 2 pages illustrating the cold snap we're going through right now. I also got full credits and loved the attention :)

Congrats everyone for a bunch of excellent pictures.

Here's my outtakes all taken with the Lumix

Most of the team preferred the church shot, but the old photojournalist in me is always partial to people pictures.

My entry

I know this one had some technical issues due to the combination of the long exposure and being so close to the subject which made any movement noticebale. But the model's (Mandy) expression was too good to resist.

Any other outtakes?

Couple of outtakes.

My entry was a bit of a last minute affair, but I had always hoped to be able to get a photo of this lighthouse and was quite happy it turned out so well and even gave me my second highest score ever!

These are some photos I thought about using...all taken on the one and only day I got to photograph after agreeing to participate in this side challenge. All taken in Miami on Dec. 26---talk about last moment!!

I have to give some props out to Deb.

While I really liked the artistic vision, I literally begged her not to enter her image as I thought the DPC voters would shower down a storm of 3s and 4s on it.

And it finished top score on the team.

My apologoes to her and the DPC voters! ;-)
