When I joined this site, I decided to pay so that I could enter all challenges. It wouldnt be much of an incentive to pay to be a member, and be restricted from most challenges (there are 2 open challenges each week, and usually only 1 member challenge).

There have been challenges in the past where only non-ribbon winners could enter. Perhaps you would have more luck suggesting that type of challenge than by disrespecting some of the most respected members (roz, IreneM).

As for processing, I find it curious that in your OP, you mentioned that classical editing, or Advanced editing could be used for your suggested challenge, only to later on blast anyone who uses photoshop.

I've gotten that same response a time or two. It really isn't worth pissing everyone off. Just enjoy the site at what ever level you want to be involved at. Deep breath.....now let's take some pictures and learn how to grow.

I pay, because I want to support the site. What I can or can't enter has no bearing.

But, Christmas is coming, so maybe Landon will give all the registered folks a little Christmas present.

Can't hurt doing it just this once, can it?

I'm not here to learn about how to use Photoshop, I can take a college class to do that. I joined the site to learn different photography techniques not how to shoehorn and overedit photos. And to the person who posted about the registered user winning the blue, they only won because they copied what they saw a member do previously. For example, if I never would have known what Contre-Jour was without this site. As well as some other techniques. I am here to learn more about photography but tjat is impossible when you are constantly discouraged by seeing images that shouldn't even be in the challenge that sometimes may not even meet the challenge on the front page every Wednesday morning.

I knew if I even breathed the words no editing that I would be crucified just the same.

You are in violation of the forum rules...see Justine's post below. Please edit your posts below where you have been name calling or they will be removed.

You can have a discussion of your issue without resorting to personal attacks. Consider this your second warning.

I don't feel that saying someone is irritating is obscene and don't feel I'm in violation of the rules

With such an obvious violation is the second warning really nec? I mean it's obvious he/she is trying to push buttons and get things riled up, and the ignoring of the warning by Justine......just saying. Give sonyalphausr the boot!

You clearly are. This thread is now locked, and will be deleted shortly. We'll handle the rest privately.
