So, I'm by no means an expert in post processing pictures. I try to keep up with contemporary looks and I'm starting to see plenty of this style photo, but I can't figure out what name is attached to the post processing done in the following photos, if any:

//kezzi-rose.deviantart.com/art/Colour-My-Life-145036509
//nerysoul.deviantart.com/art/flatly-145273870

Is this a digital emulation of cross-processing? Or is it just some funny business with the channels?

Any help would be appreciated. I've taken to calling it the 'Levi' look. For some reason I associate it with jeans. Could just be me.

Looks to be... search around deviantart if you want to learn how to do it... there's a plethora or tutorials there on how to do it... and for the lazy one-clickers, there are even a few actions.

Thanks for the confirmation. I'll search a little deeper.

Check out virtual photographer. It's free and has (I believe) two different cross processing filters.

Emulationb of cross-processing is pretty easy to accomplish in PS using the curves palette. It involves "s-curving" up the red and green channels and "s-curving" down the blue channel, usually on a fairly contrasty original, often by first adding more contrast to the original. You can find a range that works for you and write a simple action for it.

Here's a tutorial:
