Ok.... December 12th it is.... =)

Sooo.... start posting your ideas here... lets plan it out.....

I'll start by saying we meet somewhere downtown around 8am... (please object if that's too early)

Are we going by foot/transit? If anyone wants somewhere to dump their car, there's a Green P reight behind the Eaton Center that is Flat rate $6 on Saturdays... it's on the block separated by these streets: Queen,Church,Richmond,Yonge, entrance is off Richmond or Queen...

sooo start planning!!! =)

December 12 works for me :)

I am ok by foot, but I guess if we decide to go to far off corners of T.O., we can switch to transit. Maybe I should hoard some tokens ;)

I think we should all list places in Downtown that we like, and then we can build an itinerary from there. I vote for Graffiti Alley, Kensington Market, and the UofT campus.

Sounds good so far... Distillery District is another possibility...

and yea, all those drivers, plan on dumping your car in that Green P parking lot and bring your subway tokens...

maybe even a TTC day pass would be the cheapest way to go...

keep those ideas coming...

Well, it's been (counting on fingers and toes) 11 years since I last lived in TDot. Things have probably changed quite a bit, especially in the downtown core. I will defer to you all for the day's journey, but I'd just like to toss this out there, wet-blanket style: December 12th has the distinct possibility of c-o-l-d.

I think the TTC is an awesome idea for mobility...as a matter of fact, I may GO train in from Burlington. Hey, maybe we could meet/start at Union Station?

Good morning all, I will be in Toronto on the 11th with my family in the evening for a party and we're trying to figure out if I'll stay down for the GTG (that would require a place to stay and then a way home on Saturday) or travel home after the party is over and then head down again in the early morning to meet up with everyone. Does anyone live close enough to Orillia to give me a lift home on Saturday night? Oh and I'd need a couch to crash on too and I'd be getting in late but not to late. I don't eat much and I'm really clean :) At this rate I'll most likely just do all the driving instead. Just throwing that out there.

I hope it all works out and the locations that have been posted re fine with me.

All the best to everyone and if on the off chance that someone can help me out I leave you with a great big THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!

MAX!

For a bit there I was thinking my cat learned how to type and was hoping to visit some of his friends in the big TO.

Oh yeah... I forgot MAX, we never did get to see you at the PowWow... next year I guess. :O)

If it's not too cold, I'd like to get a shot of the new addition to the ROM. I used to hang out around the Yorkville/Cumberland area as a trouble-child, it's gotta still be uber-trendy, no? Or, Queen's Park....I like Brad's idea of Kensington Market, Spadina/Dundas for the crowds in Chinatown, the emo freaks and heads down on Queen St W, Casa Loma...I dunno. How about my initial plan, from the other thread...we all mount up and head over to Filmore's East and see if they'll let us in with our camera gear? :-P

If the ROM is on the agenda, its only walking distance from the UofT campus, which has a lot of nice old architecture. From there, walking to Kensington Market, and then Graffiti alley should be short as well.

As for Filmore's, I think the Brass Rail might be better :)

I'm sure you boys wouldn't mind a trip to Woody's in the interest of diversifying, and not treating women like objects, n'est pas? :P

So, we should treat boys like objects instead? I'm not sure I can be THAT diverse. ;-)

Well, lets start with deciding an Official start time....

What time does everyone want to meet up?

8am

9am

10am

What does everyone think???

11/27/2009 06:18:16 PM · #21
Don't think it should be earlier than 10am. Have to give the far away folks some time to get there. :)
11/27/2009 06:54:49 PM · #22
good point =)

Well, if anyone is going to be getting there earlier than 10am, i can meet you down there...

does 10am sound good?

10:30 am ?

11 am ?

Also, where are we going to meet?

I can make a suggestion... please let me know...

we could meet near Queen Subway station... there is a Tim Hortons there and a Green P parking lot there as well (Flat rate for All day Saturday is $6)

let me know...
