Hmmm, well that narrows it down to at least a few people...LOL. Obviously you won't be getting the brown ribbon with a 5.4 score and I don't think any voter should be making comments of that nature on anyone's image no matter how bad they think it will do. That has been one of my pet peeves with DPC from the start. It's fine if someone doesn't like an image, but they should be pointing out what they feel is wrong with it in a respectable and helpful manner rather than making someone feel like crap. I don't get a lot of comments one way or the other, but I read a ton of them on here that have made my jaw drop due to the rudeness and lack of tact. Hopefully that will improve someday, but don't hold your breath. |
Well, it seems I rushed to judgment about this person. It's not fair for me to call him pompous based on one comment, which he has since graciously amended. What I find so satisfying about it remains, however: the fact that a particular set of assumptions, which I thought have always ruled the day at dpc, are being undermined, perhaps by the underground.... |

Struggling towards a 5 1/2, but getting good comments, with only 2 minor compositional critiques accompanying otherwise positive feedback. No complaints here.

I've climbed back over 6.8, went as high as 6.84 and currently 6.82, so no complaints here. One of our posters in this thread has correctly identified mine, but what's amusing is that a number of people have identified Penny's shot as mine. And *she* is beating me in the scoring as well :-) So we may have the high household average for this challenge.
Who needs Iceland? Cape Cod Rules!

Dissappointing......start lowish, then slowly climb to a respectable score and then near the end the low votes start happening. This trend seems to happen me in most challenges. No more comments either although the ones I received are all nice.

Regarding your avg score given - 9.6370?! For real?
Regarding the downward score trend - I have one observation (not directed at you ThingFish), it's fun watching comments get reset which indicates that person changed their vote, yet the comment says they gave you some score when they first commented and the comments don't get updated with the score revision. :-) |

And I thought I was playing nice with my voting scores in the Science challenge where I've given an average a bit over 6. Seriously, 9.6370? We need more voters like you!!

Aaah, that's why I get two or more comments from the same person. Hmm... Maybe they changed the vote from 6 to 5 and doesn't dare to write it. I rearly change my vote downwards. |
