This was my entry in the Foliage challenge.
My last second thought was to crop it so more of the tree detail could be seen but I opted to submit it "as is" instead. It is a HDR consisting of 8-10 images and I tried not to push too much on the PP to give the image a more natural look. Please give me a critique and some suggestions on how I could have done better. |

Thanks for the comments everyone.
Here is how I cropped it right before the challenge but changed my mind because of the loss of the reflection in the water.

Thanks again to everyone who commented on the shot and the cropped version.
Any comments regarding the HDR? I haven't used it too well in the past but this time I think it worked rather well. I personally like the "painting" effect the trees seem to have. I like the cartoon feel as well but on a landscape I wanted to lean toward the natural look. |

Here is my entry in the Painted Face. I saw the large difference in scoring and attributed it to the darkness and possible monitor issues that usually causes. Any critiques on this?
