I have no doubt they all are! Would you mind telling them to move on, they can only vote a 10 once on one entry, doesn't matter how many times they click on that << 1 2 3 .... 10 >>. |

Yeah my score has dropped too, but I am really not complaining since getting over 6 was a fantasy for me before this challenge started!

My last two votes were both threes.
ok, editing to add: I've dropped .07 since yesterday, which at 200 votes is kind of difficult. I've had two 3s, a 4 and a 1 to help me along the way.

| Just curious, how do yall score when you vote? Do you look at a photo and decide on how to vote based on how pretty it is, whether or not it speaks any story, the photographic accuracy? Im just wondering. |

Just wondering when voting ends for the "Animal / People Interaction" challenge? Can we view the results at midnight? Very curious as this was my first challenge!

It depends. If you're in the US and in the Eastern time zone, then the results show up at midnight. If you're in central Europe, the results are at 6 am on Wednesday mornings. |

Everyone has their own way of doing things. If it's a themed challenge, #1 for me is how well it meets the theme. In this challenge, #1 is "interaction" and in this one it specified creativity and communication. Someone with a pet on a leash does not establish that for me. But someone sleeping with a pet somewhat does, the pet has a choice whether or not to be there. Can't be more specific or it will reflect the current entries, which is not cool.
Next is the quality of the submitted photo--is it a grab shot? aka snapshot, no thought given to background, composition, camera settings. If no thought appears to have been taken, 3 or 4. If it meets the challenge and has good technicals it's generally a 6. 7 and above for those that display originality or creativity coupled with great technicals. 5 is for the ones where it just doesn't "grab" me.
DPC has its "favorites", it loves razor sharp photos in general for instance. If you look at the top ten of completed challenges you'll quickly get a feel for the favorites. It likes wildlife but not always pets. Landscapes in free studies. Heck. Landscapes in general. Sihouettes at sunset. Stock-style commercial studio shots. Moody and/or soft focus is often not recognized as quality images, IMO often due to the speed with which the voters are moving or the screens they're viewing on. Make sure your images display the full tonal range, highlights through shadows. View it on your phone before submitting. ;-) Hope that helps. |
