Hi, everyone! I wanted to veer off-topic and announce my mother's new young adult novel, Evangeline Brown and the Cadillac Motel. We want to try to make it an Amazon best-seller by selling as many copies today, May 25th, as possible and raising the book's ranking on Amazon.

This is not entirely self-serving, though. Today is National Missing Children's Day, and the author (Michele Ivy Davis) is donating a portion of her profits from today's sales to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. She hopes that she can raise awareness of this worthy cause at the same time she is promoting her book!

For more information about Evangeline Brown and the Cadillac Motel, including the entire first chapter on-line, please go to //www.EvangelineBrown.com.

For more information about National Missing Children's Day, please go to //www.ncmec.org/missingkids/servlet/NewsEventServlet?LanguageCountry=en_US&PageId=1305 and read about the Picture Them Home campaign, which "raises awareness about the power of pictures and their importance in the search for missing children."

I wanted to take a moment to promote both the book and Picture Them Home. Thanks for your time -- I will now return to my corner to lurk again!

Carolee,

Thanks for raising a little awareness to National Missing Children's Day! //www.mcsc.ca/childrens_day/

I wish you and your mother continued success on her soon to be bestseller. It is nice to read of your mom's generosity of donating to benefit missing children. I'm a supporter of several children benefit organizations. I know they desperately need your help every day of the year. (every little bit helps)

I'll be picking up a handful of your moms books when I get back into L.A., unfortunately, I will miss the deadline in getting her to contribute, so twist her arm a bit for me.

I wish you both the best in your endeavors.

Thank you so much for your support! The book is already rising in the rankings and the word is getting out about National Missing Children's Day and Picture Them Home! It's all very exciting! :)
