I found this item through a local Ottawa web site. It's a wireless system, to trigger the camera's shutter. I was not to sure on it's capabilities. You usually get what you pay for. But for $35 with the batteries, I was impressed with the performance.
I left my camera inside, three stories up. Went outside and fired some shots. To my surprise, every shot was registered. It claims 100 metre range. Not sure on that, but it seems very plausible. It may not have Cannon build, but hell for $35 it's a steal.
It even has a 3 second delay feature. I did find these on Ebay starting at $17 US. So if you want a generic, remote release, for just about any DSLR camera, check e'm out.

I've got a Meike MK-RC6 wired for a Canon 60D and it is a piece of crap! Everything seems to be working. The receiver turns on and the power light comes on... then about the time you're ready to take a picture it shuts itself off. Push the power button again and about 10 secs later it is off! I've changed out the 3 volt battery in the receiver with no improvement.

Another $30 wasted on cheap Chinese technology!!

If anyone has a better unit, I'd like to hear how they keep in operating? Does anyone have one of these that works!?
