Hi
I received the same comment again. I agree that scores are being lowered because some voters do not understand the challenge. Especially true last night when the votes from 8 voters averaged out to 4.5 when the rest of my votes averaged 5.6+.
If this challenge is ran again, then a simple statement stating humans are included. I think it is a nice challenge and very nice photos. |

Yep.
People are not reading or not understanding the details. I received 2 comments on not meeting the challenge. And my score shows by people not understanding and not commenting. Too bad.
"....need not be human..." this means it does not have to be human but humans are included.
So cats, dogs, waterfalls, anything that can move on it's own.
SO this means a basketball being thrown doesn't work as it is being moved by a human.

You could argue that waterfalls only move as a result of gravity and therefore have no means of moving on their own :)
However I scored them as meeting the challenge |

Thank you Judy. I had not seen that. The wording in his post sounds like English may not be his native tongue?
The challenges are to be for fun and educational purposes. Good scores are nice- they make us feel good and apreciated but they are not the end of the world.

The way I see it waterfalls don't move. The water moves but not the waterfall itself, the rocks and other structures are very stationary. So for me personally the waterfalls DNMC, unless it's clear that the subject is the water itself rather than the waterfall. I mentioned this earlier in the thread.
I fully understand how people could see the waterfall as being in motion enough, different interpretations are perfectly valid.
Also I don't votes 1 on shots I think are DNMC, I may detract a point or two but that's it.

| I enjoyed this challange. Although, I wonder if I zoomed into the frame too much. It was hard to tell my subject was walking into my frame. LOL...but, it was fun and I personally thought my photo wasnt too bad. So far have an average of 4.5 =( Oh well, as long as its for fun!!! |
