Date: 8th November 2009
Time: Early start TBA
Place: Meet at Piha beach for trek up to Kitekite Falls or any number of other photo ops.

With special guest star Judi Liosatos Judi ;)

and also:
Nuzzer
Quackers
3DsArcher
keriboi
rinac
julesski

Family members welcome, although the plan so far is to drag Judi up long and arduous treks through the Waitakere, on the hunt for purdy waterfalls. Then afterwards, rest our weary bodies on Piha beach and wait for sunset. Best to pack plenty of water, and a chilly bin full of your favourite things for afterward :)

Any other ideas? We need a wet weather alternative too, so input would be appreciated!

Rina.

I hope Terri can join us, even if it's only for the beach and sunset :)

I'm sorry I'm not going to be able to make it down. It's our busiest time of the year with fundraising at work and most weekends are committed till just before Xmas. Have a wonderful time, I can't wait to see the photos!

Thats a shame Sue. I was hoping you could make it down. I myself slightly stuffed up by not paying enough attention to the date & almost had to pull out which would of really upset me but everything is sweet again & I'm back in.

Not long to go now, before I am in the Land of the Long White Cloud...yayyy! I can't wait to meet you all.

Sue, if something comes up and you can make it, give me a call!

Judi, have fun at the convention! I'll send round an email to all a few days before the GTG to confirm. We'll have a better idea on how the weather will be treating us by then :)

Should we formulate a wet-weather plan in case? I'm looking forward to the day. I don't get much time to shoot these days so a whole day will be a real luxury, and with other photogs too!

PS: Rina, is your little blue shirt in the wash or something? That grey one doesn't suit you at all!

Yup, got it Judi, thanks :)

Gerry, I've got nothing for a wet weather plan other than to drive up your ways and get totally trollied at the Puhoi Pub. How does that sound? ;)

And yep, on my way to picking up my shirt from the dry cleaners now!

I sense a photo opportunity here. Behind the door at the pub is a rather large collection of ladies undergarments, I suspect from other patrons who have been on/under the table!

This is starting to sound way better than a sweaty hike to some waterfall!

Hahahaha...well by the time I get to the GTG I will be looking to let my hair down!!!

Sweet. Looks like we'll have to work in the pub option no matter the weather :)

WooHoo!!

It's a bit of a drive from Piha (an hour?) but there's always the option of ending up at the pub. It'll shut around 7pm on a Sunday. I can offer a bed or three as well but be warned, we have two toddlers who like to wake up before 6am!

Maybe we should just leave the idea at the back of our minds, just in case.

PS: Here's a shameless plug for a couple of challenge entries done inside the pub ... it may give you an idea of the style of the place.

Cool. Oh, and he'll need to learn how to make a decent cup of coffee too ;)

Right, now we have a problem. When he has coffee with us he really gets Milo (don't tell him). You can ask for many drinks and he'll get them but you might not get what you expected:
coffee = milo
wine = cordial
beer = oh ... well ... he has a shandy
