As many of you know I am extremely new to the forum.

I would like an opinion about a Challenge Please.

I have just finished shooting for one of the challenges and in the same series of images I have one I think would be great for another current challenge.

Question: Do you think it is cheesy to pull 2 different images from the same series of images and enter two of the challenges..?

Thanks in advance, I don't know for sure..?

I am going out to shoot the other challenge now.

Thanks in advance
DFP

It's done all the time, actually. Don't worry about it, unless they are hard to tell apart, in which case it's maybe a little cheesy, but it's not illegal.

Lots of folks do just that. Not many will pick up on it unless they vote 100% in all the challenges. Welcome to the site - hope you're enjoying it so far! And thanks - I got a good comment from you in a current challenge.

I asked the same thing when I first started, and got a completely different answer.
This is my personal opinion from my months of experience :D -- if someone enters something truly spectacular that's bound to ribbon in two different challenges, that's really annoying. Otherwise, why not?

Just remember that you are not allowed to enter the exact same photo in two challenges (as in a single digital negative). Entering two photos from different files is legal.

I understand and thank you for your answers.

Melethia, you are very welcome for the comment, I realize that this group is very talented. You must have an amazing image..

Bear_Music, thank you for your input as well.

Vawendy, Thank you and I just got back from the second challenge and I am going to go with it instead of the other one. I know it is a toss, but I really had the second idea for the second challenge prior to me taking the image and I am going to go with my first thought.

All of you are awesome and thank you so much..

You are very welcome George917.

I got both submissions done and they are from two different session. wish me luck, hehehe, you are a tough crowd. But it is worth the money..

I hope to get a decent overall average with one of these two..

It's 2:44 AM here and I'm just starting to comment on the X Marks The Spot entries (going for 100%, too), then I'll most likely move on to Straight II (again, 100%). Hopefully you submitted to one of those.

Well, it's a whole LOT less cheesy since you-know-who got voted off the island...

It's only cheesy if you win a ribbon with both... ;)

So I said I'd rate all the images in X Marks The Spot tonight...

You have rated 78 of 79 images (99%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 43 images (54%) in this challenge.

Okay, so I haven't hit 99% in comments yet. But I'm getting there! Or...almost there. There are some images I just like (or don't like), not for any specific reason, and I feel bad giving comments like "Well-taken, but I don't like it so I'll give you a 5" and stupid giving comments like "Not well taken, but I like it so I'll give you an 8." I'll just stay silent in those cases. Anyway, that's to be discussed in another topic. See y'all tomorrow, when I'll be voting on 100% and commenting on ...almost 100% (hopefully, DaleFrazierPhotography's will be among those).

Well, thank YOU! I hope I wasn't too critical, I tried to give an "I'd like it better if..." comment on each one, I think we're (almost) all here to improve.
