I've heard through the grape vine that the area just north of Saltair with the great train car, old power building, and all the old bits of water slide pipe is in the process of being removed. I don't know much more though. Tomorrow at 11am I'm heading out there with Jen (she came along on the salt flats GTG a while ago) to do a bit of shooting. Not the best time for light, but it will be getting stormy tomorrow. So hopefully that will help make for some interesting conditions to shoot in (I'll have spare camera covers just in case). Anyway, any and all are welcome to join us.

If there is a bunch of work going on there, then we were thinking of using the large rock outcrop just a bit south west of the marina along the frontage road as a back up.

It's last minute, but we'd love to have people join if they can make it. In any case, I'll try to post an update as to where they are on the work down there.

If that's the case then I'm super bummed for many reasons! That old train car is the bomb and secondly I wish I could go with you guys. I've been in dire need of getting out and shooting with some of the greats around Utah again!

Please post up some photos and your findings for those of us stuck at work!

We went out there today. Nothing too exciting to note. Maybe a little more broken glass, a dozen or so larger caliber shells on the ground, tons of water slide pipe, and a very slightly more decayed train car. The only real change is that the gate is closed and there is a sign up offering a free waterslide!

Here's some of the stuff from today.
