Are you serious? You think there were that many photos that were below average? Not only below average....but WAY below average. And your high score is only a 4.6. Did you truly think the photos were that bad or are you lashing out to everyone who gave you low scores? And lastly why would you announce that in a forum when you know people will take it negatively? |
Well if you read my other post, I voted 1 for every shoehorn or dnmc. Its a nude challenge, if your image wasn't a nude image, then it had no place in being there.
And also when there are only 53 images, 11 1 votes pulled down my average substantially.
Also, I didn't enter this challenge, so its not revenge voting or anyhting. I gave out quite a large amount of 10,9,8 votes, and a good amount of middle of the raod images got 3,4,5s. |

I hope you're leaving a comment for every vote under 4 that you give, as a courtesy to let folks know why you voted that way. Otherwise, there's no point in doing it. You need to educate folks about what you think is wrong with their photo. The point of this site is to grow in our skills. |

Do you guys want me to give a breakdown or something? Its only 53 images...when there are so few images, a vote has much more sway on the voters total average than other wise.
I had 9 votes in 8,9,10
22 votes in 5 and 6
11 votes in 3 and 4
and 11 votes in 1. (all for not meeting challenge/shoehorning)
Oddly neough...no 7 and no 2s. |

55 votes x avg 4.2830 = 235.565
235.565 - 11 (for eleven 1 votes) = 224.565
224.565 / 44 = 5.10375 avg vote cast on remaining 44 challenge entries.
Based on that, his last statement is quite feasible. :-)
DAMN! I just realized it was 53 votes cast total, not 55...oh well, you get the point.

What I'd like to see is more entries in challenges from you so we can all learn how easy it is to enter a challenge that's perfectly on topic and have a masterpiece at the same time.

| Nopers, but as ive said before, I don't need to be a musician to determine if I like a song or not, so why would me entering a challenge make my opinion more or less valid? |

Seems like I'm rocking this challenge. Guess I do well when it comes to the nakey ones. :) Although yeah I'm disappointed with a lot of my competition

It is any wonder people stop voting and commenting! As soon as someone expresses their opinion, you guys are all over them with your pitchforks and torches! He was honest in his voting and even gave you a breakdown and you still need to hound him!
I also gave out low scores. THere are some really bad photos in this challenge that don't require the effort of a comment. For the same reason that there was a lack of effort from the photog.

In that case I'm okay with that...but you should preface it before posting something like that...it's only stirring trouble. There are some photos that don't deserve a thought out vote...but there are alot of photos in there that are at least average or better. |

I think people are asking him to actually comment. They were also saying that he hasn't scored well in his challenges and may not understand how hard it is to capture a photo like that...seeing his low average in the challenge they would expect to seee work from him that is better than those in the challenge.
I personally just took his 4.2 average in the challenge as saying that everyone's work in the challenge was subpar. I misjudged his intentions. Still can't picture the average being that low though...but hey he explained it. |

well Judi, if it's the one I think it is, you got a pretty good score from me? If it isn't, you got a mid/decent score......I just hope it's not one of the ones I gave a bad score.....
I really don't know which one is yours....I'm just having fun with a guess. I guess if I really cared I could search the self portraits challenge..but I'm too lazy. |
