Did ya'll hear on the news about the woman giving birth to the LARGE HUGE kid. This kid weighed in at a grand weight of 19.2 lbs. I think this lady was from Indonesia or something like that. They, ofcourse delivered him by c-section. They also said that he had a huge appetite.

I had a neighbor that had a big kid, but not that big. This kid had all his teeth by 6 months and loved to use them. He was also whearing 3 year olds clothes at one year. Yeah his nickname was loggerhead.

She cried when she saw how big my niece and nephew both were at birth. She has come to grips that she wil inevitablly have a c-section scar haha.

My dad was born in 1916, when maternity care wasn't all it is today. My grandmother weighed less than 100 lbs and my dad was 13 lbs. *shudder* That's BIG for a time when average birthweights were half that.

My dad's 1-month picture and my son's 6-month one look almost identical.

eta; btw, here's the picture of the giant baby.

again eta; Ahhh, mother had diabetes. If she was getting care then they would have expected a large baby, tho' maybe not THIS large.

I was almost 11 lbs when I was born.... the hospital went and bought me a special car seat because I wouldn't fit in any of the ones they had.

I also ate my first solid food when I was about 6 wks old, my grandmother felt I was old enough to eat a gravy biscuit, apparently I loved it.

Our first was 13.5 at birth and no c-section as the doctors didn't have a clue until it was too late. She was bigger than most children her age until about 1st grade then everyone caught up and passed her. she is now 5.7 and around 110.

If you ask my wife she will tell you that 13.5 is not as easy as 8.5 our third child.

A 19 pound baby what a workout doing the normal every day stuff.

Well, I thought that was going to be about my brother's baby, who was born earlier this month by C-section (in Australia, though his wife is Indonesian). I don't know how heavy he was, but he's a big baby like his elder brother (now 2 years old) was. My brother is 6'6".
