This bloke was 30km inland. Odd for a sea bird, but my dad told me they often do that to fish the rivers just after the wet season.

i've been super busy lately, but i'm pretty much all caught up. this side challenge is awesome :D
here's one of my past entries. i was so happy when i saw him sitting on the tree like that

Yet another where I was on the boat with 18-200mm lens and it was not quite close enough, I needed an extra bit of reach.

this shot is a good capture, in terms of the pose especially, I wish the light were a bit warmer and a little brighter, but looks like she is very happy and kickin up her heals!

Thanks Ellamay. I didn't adjust much on this picture, just cropped it square. I'm going to go back to the raw file and see what I can come up with. I am still experimenting with all that can be done editing photos. There is a bit more to it than changing contrast filters, or burning the print a little longer (which is where I left the photography hobby years ago)
