My last 14 votes have averaged 5. Maybe this isn't the dpc friendly 'WOW' image I thought it was :(

So, I've asked the recently revived and refreshed critique club to tell me whats up. Oh, and I'm fully aware that a 5.7 isn't a bad score but maybe they will tell me why its not the 6+ I was certain it would be :)

I think many of us will be surprised with a bump from the scrubber. I'm much happier than the first morning when I was at an even 5.00. I'm now at the point where I consider this a good showing, but creative enough that not all will care for it.

Yeah, but I don't think the basic editing is most of the problem, I think it's that the open challenges are open to people who don't play fair. ('course advanced does allow for some flaw fixing.)

Honestly, folks, as harsh as the voting can be around here at times, anything over a 5 1/2 is a pretty good shot, IMO. When you pass that point, the game is more about broad appeal than just having a good photo.

As of last night, the prior 20ish votes averaged almost 6.2. Then, this morning, I got hit with two votes that averaged a 3. So, at one point I had FINALLY hit 5.5 and then it dropped; now I'm working my way back up. Considering the first 20ish votes was somewhere around 5.1, I'm pretty relieved.

My score just went down a bit.. 0.1 seems like such a small number but in dpc terms it's ginormous..
I'm pretty pleased with the range of comments I'm getting.. It's a good mix of constructive and positive. |
