lol, I bet you'd cheat at boardgames, football etc with Connor. A better approach might be to sit back, realise he has more talent than you then tell everybody its down to your teaching skills ;)

Before you all go heading off to the rant section I'd just like to point out that it's because of my excellent teaching skills that Andi turned into a half decent photographer ;o)

Hey Will, glad to see you're coming, and Connor as well! I will see you there. Another friend who came last time will hopefully be there as well, but he, too, thinks 0930 is early. (For me, it's quite late!)

The only "must do" for me is I must be at the London Bridge station around 1500 or 1600 in the afternoon to catch a train to go see talj.

Thanks to Pankaj, Will, Connor, Antony, Steve, Chloe and Giles for a great afternoon wandering about in the abundant sunshine! Yes, I got to see London in sunshine. It was actually - are you ready for this? - WARM!

And thanks to T for the fish and chips (and the relaxing train ride to let me feetsies rest up a bit).

Will post pictures later - just got home after wandering around a bit in the dark and am quite beat!

Looks like a fun time was had. Good to be able to fit faces to names. Hopefully I will be able to make the next UK GTG - I think York would be a fine venue!

Talking of trips in and around London.

Me, motherlee and our Grandson Daniel went to Kew Gardens yesterday. We are on a weeks holiday and decided it would be nice to have a leisurely day walking round Kew.

We had been there about an hour when we became aware that we were being stalked by a strange woman hiding behind a camera.

Everytime we looked around she would pretend she was taking photos. We thought it would be better to ignore her, but that didn't work, so as a last resort, we headed for the new Treetop Walk. The lift was out, which meant climbing thousands of steps to reach the top. We edged our way around and I looked back...
yep...she was still there, pretending to check her camera.

This was getting strange so I decided to check her out, she said her name was Deb, and she was a member of DPC...they certainly try it on!! So, rather than try to outrun her, we let her follow us and thought the best bet was to tire her out.

Here she is again, stalking motherlee down the steps of the Treetop Walk!

Hope you enjoyed the marathon, Deb!!

For work stuff, I'll be at RAF Lakenheath. After that, I'm limited to where I can get to by train or other public transport, as I have no desire to drive on the wrong side of the road. :-)

I lived near Ispwich in the late 70's/early 80's and the tankbusters from Mildenhall and Lakenheath used to use our tractors for target practice. They would fly over us, real low, wave and then do another run at us.

OMG where you are Bentwaters???

I lived near Snape

Re: your last message...nope I was living just north of Ipswich working on a farm, although we did watch the reports of the UFO sighting with great interest. Didn't have the bottle to go there though, probably would have been crawling up US staff anyway.
