I think another name is Ruffed Grouse ... the ptarmigan may be the name given in its Winter configuration, when all it replaces its usual feathers for white ones. |

Two things set at right angles to each other are square. A set square or a try square can be used to verify this - even a roofing square.
But it hurts the mind... |
