I am looking at a 75-300mm AF/MF (4-5.6) zoom lens from a Rebel G (EOS mount obviousley) will it fit on my 350D? (if so will it function properly?)

Thanks in advance

if its an EF mount it will fit. if its an FD mount it won't.

ETA: if it's the lens i'm thinking it is - it's pretty crappy.

For 160 bucks (less if used) it's really not that bad.

That is the lens that I use on my Canon 20D. It works fine as far as function. For the price it is not a terrible lens and I have gotten some good shots with mine. If you have the money to spend I would go up to a better lens that has more and better glass that way you could get clearer images at distances and would work better with less light.
