Yeah - 1 Favorite!

I think that is my goal with my entries - if I can get at least one person to like my photo enough that they favorite it - then the score no longer matters!

But I do think I may make one of my top 3 with this one - which I actually didn't expect since I thought there were too many technical flaws. But it is only day one of voting - who knows where it will go from here!

Not bad. Still amazing how one sees a "8" and another sees a "4", but so it has always been. Gotta love it!

whoa... this is odd -- it's been two hours since the last post, and I just now have the same number of votes as farfel53, and still less views. I've seen discrepancies before, but this is odd...

This is so cool!!! My son has twice as many comments as I do AND he's got a favorite! He will be so excited when he gets home from scouts camp.

(I can be excited, because my score is still higher -- it's bad enough that he'll be taller than I (me?) in a couple of years, I shouldn't have to put up with him outscoring me yet!) :D

FYI - If you didn't see this:

The Never Before Seen on DPC challenge has so many voting ups and downs, and a number of people wondering about their scores. So I'm throwing out this challenge -- comment on all of the entries--explaining why you voted the way you did and win a "never before seen" award, created especially for this incredible challenge!

Anyone up to the task?

I'll not be voting on this challenge just incase my understanding of 'never been seen before' meant uniqueness is wrong and actually means that a particular tree, bridge, person etc has not been seen here.

Andi, those were EXACTLY my thoughts.

Actually, it looks like there are two (in my mind, equally valid) interpretations -- 1. Something (some object) never seen before on DPC. 2. Some style of photograph never seen before. I think a number of people just didn't search hard enough before entering their image. There are a number of images that have been done before.

I'll give it a go - I really want feedback on my own entry, so I'll use that as incentive.

I took the meaning of this challenge to be a shot that is NOT a cliche.
Maybe that was wrong?

I am actually pleased with my score. I didn't think it would do so well, in fact on the back page is where I thought it would be.

would love some comments though!!

Penny, I'm not voting as this challenge is for me, a free study with a rather vague description...

We have heard people talk about cliche photos a lot. This time, show us a shot that you believe is so unique that we've never seen anything like it at DPC!

This can be read so many ways I have no idea how things will turn out for peeps.

I have to admit to have been slacking of late in the old comment area so the thought of both Wendy and Judi giving me one for 100% commenting is an offer I just can't refuse!
