Thank you DrAchoo. Sorry for the language folks. I don't like to be pushed and on another forum at that.

I reported the suck my balls post to the moderators there, but they are asleep. I thought I'd try and get the attention since repeated PMs didn't seem to do it.

I have to come out of lurker mode on this one and say that what you posted on the FM site was wrong. In poor taste doesn't even come close to quantifying it.

I knew that you sometimes come off as somewhat controversial on this site but I still respected you, your knowledge, your willingness to help others with your knowledge and experience, and I respected you as a person of class. But what I just read over there has seriously caused me to lose respect for you and to question my own judgement.

Nothing you say about trying to wake up sleeping moderators can justify your posts. I couldn't imagine you posting something like that here, but then again, I couldn't have imagined you (of all people) posting that anywhere but a XXX chat room.

and that one post that yak is talking about is a perfect example of the digital tattoo, to be permanently associated with an individual, never to be removed. thanks, prof, for adding to my collection of things to teach my kids not to do!

edited for clarity...

Prof fate has left the building!

"Sorry, this account is no longer active" is what I saw when I just went to take a look at his profile.

I was curious to see if he had returned to his typical, helpful posts since the flare up yesterday. I was hoping that he had cooled down and that everything was going back to normal.

It's sad that what started out as something that he felt he was doing as a service grew so out of control and resulted in his leaving this site.

If he'd handled it in a regular, calm, rational manner like most people, it wouldn't have grown out of control :|

To be honest, I feel like it was all under control until Prof_Fate himself took it to the next level. DrAchoo was okay with other people using his photo (under this given circumstance) and the Prof was unable to accept this and got more and more upset with each post. The crude FM post was just the grand finale. I think it was nice and thoughtful of him to try to seek out the original photographer, but it should have been left at that. If he's okay with how it's being used, so be it. No harm, no foul.

ditto, brian. it might be that his last contribution is an example of how not to behave on the internet.

I went looking for the original quote that you selected and even went so far as to look up the Photographer Profile for the user named definition of stress.

Does that make me gullible?

I think on the one side he WAS only trying to be helpful, but came across as a bit of a loon as a result.

On the other side he is probably REALLY REALLY ashamed of his outburst and bet he wishes he could take it back.. I know I have posted some pretty close to the knuckle things on this site, but once I hit the POST button I will go back an edit it out. It seems he didn't have that ability on the FM site - I am sure he would of removed it pretty sharpish otherwise.

Nevermind. Next.

DPC is like Survivor except there are constantly new people coming to the island.

I think it's more like "I'm a celebrity, get me out of here!"

Well, I am sorry to see Prof have that kind of a meltdown and leave. Believe me, when I have my meltdown, I am taking at least a dozen of you bastards with me. :D

Prof_Fate also left FM, not sure if it was willingly or if he was asked to. Personally he could be helpful but in usually a mostly assinine way. Hopefully he cools off and comes to his senses and goes back to being helpful in a somewhat calmer method somewhere. Just not likely to be here or FM.
