Perhaps a not-so-subtle dig at all the complaining about "we always see the same things over and over"? Pretty sure in the history of DPC that nearly everything has been seen (allowable within the terms of service). Maybe not in the top ten, but somewhere in the challenge. The DMNC folks will have a good time with this one. :-)

Wow, this is too tough! I thought I would catch a tornado this week (weather permitting),but even that has already been done. Short of a flight to Mars, not really sure where to go for this one.

We have heard people talk about cliche photos a lot. This time, show us a shot that you believe is so unique that we've never seen anything like it at DPC!

It says nothing about subject matter in the description. I see this as a challenge to see something, anything in a different way. I just don't see the point of making a list of subject matter. No one has seen a picture of my house, yet it's still a house. Nor have I ever entered a photograph of myself in a challenge, yet I'm a person...so forth and so on.

Honestly...it's not the subject matter at all...it's how the photographer chooses to show it to the viewer.

I was wondering why this wasn't in the "challenge suggestions" section of the forums! It took me awhile to realize there's an actual new challenge underway. Hey, that's already something "never seen on DPC" -- a week-long challenge ending on a Thursday night.

Some of you old timers will remember Photo Jim...he ruined a lot of "never seen" for all of us now, way back in the day. I mean, really...take a random thought like "a naked guy under a glass table." Surely not done before? Think again. Thanks, Jim. Sheesh. :/

I believe I was the first to incorporate a Snuggie into a challenge. Its sad when that is your only accomplishment...LOL

Yeah... I just spent 30 minutes on a shot so unique I was positive that noone had done it before. It's beautiful.

Then, I did a quick search just to make sure... And found three. *rolleye*

This is going to be tougher than I thought.

And I thought it was gonna be tough. :)

My brain hurts. So excited to shoot and vote on this! Almost too much - but I need a DPC fix. Was there an e-mail sent about this, or was it just my destiny to happen across it?

It's not a Speed Challenge. Just extra goodies for us. :)

I think emails only go out about this: "E-mail me when there's a 24- or 48-Hour Challenge I can compete in."

Prediction: LOW participation due to the difficulty of finding a subject and because of the lack of an announcement about it, and it will be a very low scoring challenge because of so many DNMCs and if there are any unique subjects, voters will point out the reason they have never been (or never should be) photographed.

I could be pleasantly surprised though. Hope so.

Yup, not a challenge I am thinking of submitting to as the anal amongst us will find a reason why any image submitted isnt original.
