If anybody would like to look, and let me know what they think (or just look), I have some of my Yellowstone/Tetons photos online.

These are not necessarily the best shots from the trip (or even the best representations of that particular shot) -- I took more than 1,000 digital photos while I was out -- these are just the ones I''ve kind of stumbled across as I''ve been looking through.

Basically I''m just sharing ''cause I thought some of y''all would like to look.

Great, Patella! Esp. "Solitary"! I haven't been to Yellowstone since I was a child. I'd love to revisit now that I have more photo experience!
You must have had a great time! Good for you!

This is 2 of my out takes. I was a bit worried someone might not consider this City *Life* so I used something else.

Thanks guys, one of these days one of my "great" photos will match a challenge and I'll actually be a contender. *grin*

I took some others at the same time as Solitary -- I have yet to really look through them, but I'm hoping I may have one that's even better than that. A guy can wish, right??? *grin*

Great stuff. I like the following in this order:
solitary
tetons
sealandsky
abstract001
abstract003b
cloudgeyser

I like lowerfalls too if you could have chopped that tree down in the foreground. :)

I'm jealous about your squirrel picture because I'm always taking pictures of local squirrels and I can never get one as nice as this.

I like both of these images but I like the one with the falls better. I do not believe this is a good shot of "City Life". I'd like to know why you think so, and why someone else might think so.

Just a little trivia on the RSA Tower. It stands for Retirement System of Alabama and is quite representative of why everyone in my area wants a state job.

Those are beautiful photos Angel.

These are my outtakes for the challenge. mall scenes

I guess it's because I work at a mall that I found the tilts refressing. Especially liked the beads counter composition and clarity.

Thank you Sandra & Drew:))))

This is a big part of our city life here. I guess I felt it was city due to that and I bet you won''t find that in the country:)

I love Beads Etc ! I even know someone in that photo LOL
I spend too much there but I love that angle also also:)

patella.

KILLER shots. Hard to choose. But I think solitary, squirrel and sealandsky all are excellent among excellent pics.

I almost posted the beads, etc. under the title "Decisions, Decisions" but posted one that I thought was more representative of city life. It's nice to have alternates for once. Thanks for the compliments ya'll. That means more than a high score in the challenge.

love the mall shots, esp ice palace and 'picture 2072' which has a nice abstract feel to it.

i have been told to stop shooting in several malls, including one in wilmington, nc. I still can't figure out what they're afraid of ...

Thanks Kollin. Other than a few curious looks, most folks paid me absolutely no attention. I would go back and do more but that mall is my son's favorite hang out and he was mortified that I went there with my camera. Then again, I could really have some fun if I followed him there on a Friday night.

hmmm I'll ask our AP guy at work but I imagine if they have very rich clientel they would like to discourage paparatzi, stalkers, etc. Sad would we live in sometimes. aelith

the reason that has always been given has been that the stores worry about competitors copying their wares.

and then i always reply but you can just get the catalog, you dont have to take pictures.

but the don't care ... : P

your reason makes more sense.

Great job! I get the feeling if I rubbed my nose against the screen while Dandelion was up...it'd come away yellow.

The intensity and play of color in the abstracts is grand.

Some day, I hope to be able to take a photo as nice as Solitary -- whether it fits a challenge or not!

Patella, those shots are gorgeous! That is the kind of photography that got me interested in doing it myself.
