I had to take my mac to a wedding expo yesterday, without the external hard drive, where I normally keep my files to be read by lightroom 2. I opened lightroom before realising that it wasn't going to work, then closed it again, using a folder on my desktop for a slideshow instead. But tonight when I went to open LR2, it asked me to 'upgrade' the catalogue. I've never had that before, but it wouldn't let me choose any other option - it was upgrade or quit, which closed the program down. So I upgraded, and now i seem to have lost several months of work. I'm sure the shots are all there, but they were all filed away.
I tried to go to the LR catalogue on the external hard drive, but it seems lightroom has also changed that, so now nothing points to what I need. And I have 4 shoots to get through, all of them I can't find.
