Sometimes after challenges I wonder "Where was that ten i gave out and why is it not in the top ten?" and it usually takes a while to locate a shot that I gave either a certain comment or vote on. Especially with challenged such as rusted with 425+ entries, it will be hard to find a certain photo because you don't know who took them during the challenge. What I would like to see is a way to organize the challenges afterwards by 1st to last like it is now but also by Commented On and Voted Best to Worst...like how it appears once you have voted on all of the shots, except after the challenge you could now read all of the other comments and locate it easily. Just one more thing that would make DPC a little bit easier to browze through.

Thanks for listening to my thoughts,
Lee

I've been thinking about this for a long while also. I'm always fascinated to see who took the photos I rate top, to see the rest of their portfolio, the comments they gave and receive, the comments of others on the photo in question, and how it rated overall. I've taken recently to dragging and dropping my own top 10 into a folder and then the top 10 in the final results. then i can study the photos offline at leisure. but this is hit and miss and I often forget.

Knowing how much work goes into this site I've not raised this issue myself before but it's a feature that would greatly enhance the learning potential of the site. Thanks for raising it.

Think Tranquil's suggestion is excellent. However, it did not seem to generate much response so I am bumping it back to the front page. One of the key learning strategies in DPC is to review a challlenge after the results and see what others thought of certain images. thus, the means to sort the results in various ways seems to me to be invaluable.

Perhaps there is a way to keep our scoring thumbs for as long as the challenge results are posted on the home page. Then I could easily review which image I scored 10s, 9s, etc.

I really love the idea. After I voted, I like to go through the page that lists the rank that I voted. It helps me keep my perspective on what is "average", "above average" and "excellent" It would be great to go back through after the voting and see who it was that I rewarded, and what other people thought of the pictures that I like the most. The same would work for what I scored lower, perhaps I was missing something that the rest of the group saw. I think it would be a great learning experiance, and helpful in the voting process. Thanks for bumping.

I used to save my scoring page to an Acrobat document (too lazy to do that now), but it seems to me a possibly simple way to implement this is to enable an option which lets you view the challenge results by either the cumulative ranking or your own ranking (sort by "your score" or overall score fields).

I had a similar request not too long ago, and learned that it has been discussed, and that there is a reasonable chance that it will happen. Here is the other thread, complete with EddyG's response.
