Really don't know what the some voters are looking for in Free Study, It does not appear to be sharp in focus, good story line, good color, and photographic.
I really believe The Administrators have a good look at the voting style looking through the comments in this thread to date.
It is no good saying that voters go through selecting all there photos at a certain score EG:4's and then go back and finalise thier selection, if 50 votes or more have been placed against a photo by this time the bumping or whatever is done by this style the patern for the photo has been set and the photo will find it hard to climb from 4's it started at.
The other scenerio is if some voters get enjoyment out of low scoring because it is not what they would shoot or enter, at least look at what the photographer has entered from a photographic view and don't be too eager in thier decision.
These are probably the same photographers who enter for the next challenge in the first 24 hours as if time has no place in thier life. |

i noticed that too, i dont think it is exactly the same image, though it is so similar it may aswell be, lame effort on their part.

I looked and I think it's different.
Look at the positions of the antenae
Definately a different shot

It is definitely not the same shot. Images from same shoots are allowed to used in different challenges as long as they still abide by all the rules, including date stamps.
It is also not encouraged to talk about images in the forums during the voting. So please everyone...let's get the popcorn out and see if we can get through this.

Regardless of whether it's the same original or not, the impact is gone. Everybody saw the ribbon winner, which was brilliant, but now it is just unoriginal. |

I have been looking at my image and I think I understand why it's doing so badly...

| I am very dissapointed with the votes thus far. This is my best image to date IMO and no matter what I do I seem to wake the next morning to a 5 or below. Right now my entry is at a 4.9. I don't understand sometimes. Don't get me wrong I like my captures and thing that some are definetly print worthy but I seem to only be average to most DPC voters. I was very shocked to wake up and not be higher than a 5 this morning. |
