...again. But we are staying in AZ.

Today I was let go due to downsizing. Well, moving from NJ to AZ is a big step (and I asked them many times before I moved here) so, we will try to survive here. I am not sure if I do photography again, which I am dying to do... but who knows. Today is, Day One...

just to let you know.

Hang in there. Sometimes very bumpy roads lead to good places. I will be sending best wishes in any case.

Awww Leo, that sucks! :(
But maybe, just maybe it'll lead to something great that you'd never have tried if you'd had a comfortable job. And please, please, try for photography. You've grown soooo much since you've been here.
Just try to stay positive, though I know that can be nearly impossible at times.

I am sorry to hear of your misfortune....why don't you look for something in the photographic industry? It may be what you were meant to move there for!

Hey man, I know how you feel. I was laid off in March. Look at it as an opportunity to take some time to figure out what you really want to do when you grow up, plan how to make it happen and then DO IT!!! Hopefully you got some severance and/or have some savings you can live on for a bit.

If you feel like chatting or commiserating, just PM me and we'll connect.

I feel for you Leo.
I think many of us have been there either now or in the past; just try to remain positive.

Start loading your images onto istock, you never know it may provide a little income eh

I'll throw in a prayer and sacrifice a chicken.......sandwich for ya!

I'm very sorry to hear the bad news. I'm going through the same thing right now. I feel your pain.

Thinking about you..... tomorrow will be another day.

Sorry to hear that Leo. I know it's a cliche and I hated it when people told me I'd find myself something better when I lost my job four years ago. But it can be true. Today I look at the day I was laid off as a good thing that happened to me. After the first couple of weeks of sting, I vowed never to work for someone else again and decided to start my own business.

Know that you're in the same boat as a lot of people, and I hope it inspires you to find something even better for yourself. Stay positive and good luck!

Sux. Sorry to hear another person got dinged. I'm hopeful that this may have finally bottomed out.

I guess the only good thing is that right now getting let go is not being taken as a negative when applying for a new job.

Sorry to hear this. Stupid economy. Don't worry, things will work out, it just takes some elbow grease and determination. :-(

Life is a little easier on the East Coast... I think. Good luck.

I am SO SORRY! Especially for the added pain of moving away from home. I'll say a prayer for you and your family. Maybe Judi is right -- it could be a door closing for the sole purpose of nudging you out of the nest to work at what you love and have a passion for. Good Luck!
