This is an older photo I did some fixing up in photoshop.

And I really like the way it came out, so I thought I'd share and get some feedback if possible.

What I did in photoshop:

Take the redness out of the skin
Sharpen the entire photo
Remove a vein in the left eye, and some dirt on the finger
Remove some redness from the right eye.
Dodge the pupil to get the color to stand out more.

Absolutely marvellous photograph. Perhaps the eye is too green for my taste but the composition and idea is tremendous. Congrats.

Very compelling photo. I agree w/ what Theodore said, plus your attention to details, like the black background, nothing to distract. A really great composition totally. Two thumbs up w/ a cheesy smile from me :D

Thank both of you very much.

I thought I had maybe brightened they eye up a little too much, but I thought it was still at a believeable color.

But I completely see where you're both coming from.

I dont think it's really a believable colour, but the surrealness is why I like it so much. Great image!

:) Thanks so much.

I was told my a couple people that the original is better, because it looks more read. So I'm going to post that one now.

Did I do better by editing it, or did I do worse?

I honestly like both of them...the original is stunning, and the rework is equally beautiful. I think they convey two different moods...the rework is a bit more surreal and almost a creepy-spooky kind of mood. Fabulous work!

I have to disagree that it is a believable color. But it's doesn't matter for this photo. It's pretty cool how it is.

I like them both. I think the original is a great portrait. The other one is wierd and creepy but in a cool way.
I like the original best though.

Yeah, thanks a lot. There seem to be a lot more people who like that one that I would have though.
