Thanks, Hokie. I really like the "city volunteers" one. Very American, though :-)

thanks, dude!

vigilante and city volunteers are great photographs.

the discount office space makes a good statement about supply and demand but isn't as well shot as those first 2.

best title: A Clown's Office! : )

oh the dude sleeping on the steps. check out how new his pants and shoes look. he was gone by the time i came out of the P.O. My friend swears that he was just a thermal physicist getting a little sun.

Kimbly..that couple sitting on the bench is great. I like it a lot.

Magnetic..some of the people shots are just outstanding. The guy laying on the steps is a tough shot and very good. I could never live in a city with homeless folks, I would be broke giving them $10 to take their picture. That kind of thing is one of the things that gets me the most.

Thanks kimbly and magnetic :-)

I'm trying harder to be better at shots that are not setup. I still fall back on that..old dog, new tricks kinda thing.

I really admire folks who can get quality people shots. I always seem to want to talk to them more than take a photo :-/

Well, you three are great photographers, and I've looked at some of your outtakes but it's hard to see them all on a 56k connection :/. I agree about the guy on the steps, it's a very powerful photo and makes me very sad. There isn't much of that kind of poverty and homelessness in my city, thankfully. Hokie, I love Firejuggle! And I like all of Kimbly's :)

Hokie, I love those outtakes, especially the fire juggling one. For another take on that theme, check out Fire Jugglers.

Thank you! Actually, I''m pretty lucky. I juggle with them every Monday night. John (on the right) helped teach me to pass clubs, and was the first person I passed torches with.

I had an idea of a door with all those locks on it. You know. A dead bolt, a chain, a padlock, 20 or more ...all down the door like from some Woody Allen movie. But, alas..I live in a city where one simple dead bolt is all we need to keep the gophers and encyclopedia salesmen out :-)

Car keys: City Life

Thanks hokie, Your idea is exactly what I originally wanted to do but with a hand on the edge from the other side. Alas, my town is like your town. HE he - I went to the local hardware store for the multible handles and threw on my keys because nothing is more useless than car keys when you can't afford to park anywhere.

Love the firejugler picture and Vigilanti.

Mag you've got too many good pictures! lol I couldn't choose either. Several 10s there. The Office Window is very evocitive to me of city life.

Wonderful stuff Kimberly.

I have learned one thing in this challenge: "City Life" must be "URBAN" city life to do well :)
