My husband retires from the Navy in roughly 6 years. I really would love to have a degree by then. However, I am having a helluva time deciding what I want to do!

Photography has been an option and a couple places now offer online degrees. However, I am not convinced a degree is necessary if I decide to pursue photography. More knowledge, yes, but not an expensive degree! What do you guys think? How much would a degree help?

I really wish I KNEW what I wanted to do! I have thought about everything from photography to accounting or business finance. I am terrified of investing big dollars and a lot of time into something, and then not liking it.

Any advice you could offer up?

Hey Jennifer
I can't answer your question about the relevance of the degree courses you mention to your chosen career path as I studied engineering, but what I can tell you is this.

Education is always worth while and obtaining a degree in any subject will give you a great feeling of self worth and satisfaction.

I undertand that financing is always a difficult question but ask yourself this:

In 10 years time will I wake up and regret not going for it?
