Ha ha, we had the opposite problem in my house I wanted plain and my husband wanted stainless steel. |

That is funny. About the ten thousandth time he has to wipe a fingerprint off the stainless, or recoil in horror as it picks up another scratch, he doesn't have to say "I told you so" just e-mail her this link. |

All I can figure is it a women thing??? It cooks chicken/Ham/and Roast just fine.... |

It's a marketing thing -- all the high-end appliances which mimic professional restaurant gear (Wolf, SubZero, etc.) are stainless steel. Also, since SS "matches" any decor, this may also be a prelude to a paint job ... :-)

The stupid thing is that it's not even stainless steel on the sides! At least not the fridge I saw last weekend. |
