| Looks like I might just make it to the top 10 after all... Not as good as the the top 3 but there are a few really good pictures in there. |

Pretty unanimous if 100 votes average out at almost exactly 5... I'm happy with that, my 2nd challenge entry, and my first entry score a 4 overall, so a big improvement :-)

Since your average vote indicates you are not caring for many of the entries, or consider them to be "just ok", can I beg you to please leave the 4's and 5's some feedback on their image as to what, in your opinion, was lacking? Most of the folks really do appreciate the feedback to understand why their entry is not doing as well as hoped.
I have not yet voted on this challenge, as I am still working through Postcards, but my site average is 5.81, a fair amount over my own received average of 5.29. By my own voting history, this makes me a little below average for this site. Your voting average of 4.71 indicates you feel your own photography is better than average. BTW, neither is right or wrong, it's just an interesting comparison. |

i'm over halfway there! hopefully my comments are helpful, or at least not offensive. i always get a little nervous leaving critical comments, but i wish people did it for me more often so i'm making the effort.

I really noticed that when I started "studying" the photos and doing my commenting that my average vote went up considerably..it takes alot for me to vote below a 4, and I rarely give out a 10...your average looks very good for this challenge...and personally...I just wish someone would say something to me about what their "first" and "thought through" impression was/is. In the last FS...I got NO comments and my score was almost my PW...now me I loved the picture, but I have no idea what others thought of it and it scored very low. It does help you when you get constructive critiques and it makes you look at your photos closer. |

I actually thought I had a higher voting average, because I gave 5 9s and 24 8s. But I gave a number of 4s to things that really didn't seem to have any texture (well, everything has texture, but to things that didn't have an interesting texture) |

It's easy to hit the numbers and vote but thinking about what to say makes you really evaluate the score you give. And that takes some time. Not even halfway yet but I have to keep taking breaks or I don't think I'd be as constructive. I hope I'm being helpful at least for some. |
