Of course i wish this would have done better but I think my work is improving and I was pleased to have my proportion shot ranked in 80th percentile. I would appreciate any afterthoughts on how I could have improved it. |

I really liked this image. The composition worked for me. Not too much negative space. I gave you a 9. One thought I had was "how would this look in color? are they the same color? what about the background?" I think that maybe it is just too tonally simular all the way through. If they have the same color handles, maybe color would have given it a little kick.

| Thank You for the 9. I tried this shot in color but the orange handles of both scissors really overpowered the composition and the color became the focus. But i'll have to agree it could you some more contrast. Thanks for the great comment. |

The composition and framing is excellent in this image. Also, sepia works well for me. The addition of the second background scissors is what gives this image a lot of viewer interest.
The only thing that might improve it would have been to move the first scissor away from the wrinkle in the paper. That is distracting in the foreground of this image.
BTW, it is refreshing to see someone appreciate the score they got as opposed to whimping and complaining. :)
