| Aw, come on guys. IF there was a joke with scores, give them time to make it right. But, be prepared in case there was no interference! |

| the drop does not bother me.........cuz I'm lucky if I get out of the below 10 percent ranking for any challenge it was the email for disqualification that did it to me.......andI'm all for funny too but maybe not so much today |

I was hoping my scores yesterday was an April Fools joke but I guess not

Received an e-mail that my entry was disqualified. That was my joke since I was never asked to submit for validation. Ha ha ha.

My score dropped so much yesterday I thought it was going to slide off the page but happy to report it is back in a very strong position just below a personal best.
My fauna however did not recovery so well.

My 10 year old son has just started getting back into photography and is doing very nicely now he is a bit older. He was delighted when his score started at 6.0 and settled above 5.0. Within a few hours last night it bombed to 4.6 - disappointing enough. Then this morning he has been DISQUALIFIED for a reason which is clearly wrong. I witnessed the editing. They didn't even ask for the original.
If this is somebody's idea of a joke (presumably not an April Fool joke because it was sent on April 2), I hope they own up before my son comes home from school. He's going to be one disappointed little boy.
He did nothing wrong and the disqualification badly handled - the original wasn't even requested.
Sorry for my sense of humour failure if this is a joke, but this is going to be so difficult to handle if is not a joke. DPC is perfect for him right now. Trolls are bad enough - but to think he's going to subjected to an arbitrary Council as well...I think it best that I reluctantly take him somewhere else.
Really hoping this is a joke and that someone will confirm it as such within the next few hours please

Everybody got one, it was for April fool joke don't forget there is a big time diff around the world. explain to your son it was an April fool joke and was done all in the name of fun. My DQ was for not supplying the original, but I opened DPC before my mail so I saw it was still there and had not been DQ'd at all..

OKay so I took the bait too, got a DQ notification for submitting the same image to more than one challenge, but seeing that I checked at 11 pm last night and this e-mail only came in at 11.15pm (Eastern Time) last night I think the joke is on the prankster, I really don't find this funny and I usually have a sense of humor.
As a child in Africa we always said that the April Fools thingy had to happen before midday, if it was after that then the joke was on the person playing the prank!! I am so past this sort of thing, heck we are all adults here is it really necessary? |

I am currently feeling the same as you are. I find your portfolio awesome. Was always amazed why I didn't see more of your photos in the challenges. My two present scores I was hoping was a joke because I felt they deserved better. Oh well I am going to a cabin in Tennessee for spring break so all is good. Good luck on your photos. Hopefully they will bounce up. They have to be doing better than mine. |
