It's been a while I have seen such an UN-enthusiastic, slow voting. Looks like voters are tired of voting but they still go on just for the sake of voting, and giving low scores... Maybe too many challenges and I think the flora/fauna are killing the free study.
Anyhow, here's my current (only 6 votes in the last 24 hours):

I'm doing poorly, but I knew I would :)
It was a shot that I thought was cool, but wouldn't have universal appeal, or even wide-spread... but I was hoping it might get a few more comments, though.
I haven't entered a free study before. I'm surprised how few votes there are, considering the number of entries. Is this the norm?

Normally less than the exclusive challenges, but this one feels slower, imo.
I had 152 and 153 votes for my entries on Jan and Feb. |

I just noticed that all 3 of my current entries (Free Study, Flora, & Song) have not 1 comment since April 1. Anyone else notice this with their entry or is this coincidence?

If this hangs in, it'll be my best score ever, let alone in a free study. My only regret was that I didn't enter it into fauna instead, it might have had a chance at a higher place there. But thems the breaks, my fauna score has slipped below 6.

Well the Free Study is doing OK- I do have one fave so far!

I'm kicking myself. I put up an image that I thought would do really well, then lost confidence, put another one up, lost confidence in that one, then put in what I thought would be typical DPC style. It just climbed over the 5 mark to 5.01, only one comment and sat in the 4's for ages - my lowest so far......and now I'll never know if the others would have done ok or not. Anyone else do that kind of thing? I think I seem to do it every time and it isn't doing my confidence any favours :-(

I do it all the time! I wait until last minute, have 2 or 3 images to choose from, ask friends and relatives & get one asnwer, open a thread and ask for dpc'ers opinions, get another answer, vacillate some more, enter one, delete it, enter another. Then make the stupid choice and regret it all week! |
