I've been trying to get my camera to take bracketed exposures. I would like to capture at least -1 to +1. I don't think the camera could do a -2, 0, +2. Anyway I'm looking in the manual and all I can understand is that I need it in aperture priority. After that I am lost. Do I start with a -1 and it will give me up to +1? Please help!

i am sure that the principle is the same in all cameras.

you need to put AEB mode.
also change the drive mode to continuous shooting.

if you then put it in aperture priority, the camera will adjust the shutter speed.
if you put it time priority, the camera will adjust the aperture to get the varied exposures.

now, when you hold the shutter it will fire off 3 exposures!!

hope this helps!

Not sure now, but I had a D70 and I think there is a button on the upper left side in the back which is used to switch auto bracketing on. You hold that in and the use the front (or back) controll wheel to adjust the amount of exposure bracketing. When you then let go og the button autobracketing should be turned on and the next images you take will be bracketed within the exposure range you set with the controll wheel.

Hope this help.

P.s it's been 2 years since I used a D70 so I might be toatlly off, in that case I am sorry for you time... :)

That worked. Thanks but now how could I get it to go from a -1 to a +1 in 3 shots. Right now when I press in the BKT button it gives me a 3F and a 1.5 number. The F's go from -2F, +2F, and 3F and the other number goes from 2 to 0.5. What do these numbers mean? I can assume that the second number is the exposure, but is the increments it will jump or the starting exposure? I think I am not understanding something and making this more difficult than it is? Sorry

3F means that i will bracket three shots. The other numbers should reflect the amount of compensation between each hsot thus -2 to +2 will give you three shots where one is metered the other -2 and the third +2.
You should be able to adjust the amount of compensation in one of the menu options.
