I've seen some great examples of b/w pics where elements have been picked out in colour to focus attention. I've had a go at this.....
....but I'm not sure it's working here. My aim was to highlight particular individuals and the objects of their attention. I think that the lack of resolution isn't helping and I had difficulty trying to lighten the detail without overexposing the floor.
Comments, criticism and suggestions gratefully received. Thanks.

I actually really like the composition and the picture as a whole. Personally, I find spot color to be a rather dated, 90s-era technique. This execution of spot color is pretty interesting, though. The stuff that gets a yawn from me is the black and white bride holding the full color rose.
Anyhow, nicely done. Where was this taken, by the way? |

Thanks for the comment.....It was taken in the Royal Museum/Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. In fact, you can see the cafe and the balcony where i took the pic in agwright's recent ribbon-winning pic:-
My entry for the Window View challenge was also shot from a museum window. |
