... you go to Photos/Browse/Most recently commented and all the shots are ones you've commented on...

It's a sickness, I swear.

I'd promise to quit but I enjoy looking at pictures and figure I may as well leave a comment while I'm there....

I figure about 50% are never noticed. Poor little comments just wander off into the ether never to be seen or heard from again....

You know you're a DPC addict when....
You submit a photo for an open challenge, and you have dreams about how it is scoring only to wake up on Wednesday morning to realize it was a dream.

You assess everyday life for DNMC and you see 0.0025 as a large number!

...critique family member's shots in your head.
...critique magazine shots and advertisements.

....you care more about comments from strangers than those of your wife/colleagues/family.

....you stop taking photos for yourself.

I believe there are many who enjoy and learn from your comments and appreciate your taking the time to do so.

I know I do, Deb is one of my favorites for this reason (and among many others as she is a spreader of joy around here).

...you wake up to go to work and feel the urge to hit the update button before heading to the bathroom.
03/05/2009 02:24:37 PM · #22
See, now I have no urge to hit an update button. I don't have one. It goes away when you leave scores off. Makes the week all that much more blissful!

I do, however, check for new comments before I start coffee.... does that count?

(And thanks Denise and Matt. Good to know not all of my typing disappears into the giant bit bucket in the sky!)

I've tried that, shutting off scores, only lasted about an hour. That update button is really addicting.
