Hi all. I'm not sure what setting I may have inadvertantly changed, but my shutter speed and exposure time are displaying in the EXIF as a decimal (.8 sec), rather than a fraction.

I have Elements 6.
Any help is appreciated.

May be a change in camera preferences, not PS preferences; I don't know...

Interesting. My 20D and Olymp. 5050Z and my wife's Canon all have their EXIF data in fractions. Must be a camera setting; check your book.

I didn't think of the camera settings. I'll check. Many thanks to both of you.

The EXIF format is used by basically every camera and it stores shutter speed as a numerator integer and a denominator integer. It's not a camera setting - your software is being lazy.

I think when I look at the EXIF on my computer it's always a fraction, but in my camera's settings display (in the viewfinder) exceptionally slow shutter speeds are displayed as decimals, e.g. 0.3" rather than 3/10" ...

It's interesting because I just noticed on the last challenge I entered that it displayed shutter speed as a decimal. All of my other captures are displayed in fractions of a sec. Maybe it is lazy software...
