Be careful when Photographing Places like Petrol Stations etc. You seem to attract the attention of Security if you walk around with a camera taking pictures of random things........

This is why I asked the attendant before I took any photos and offered to show him the photos afterward. Had some questions about what they were for, but figured it was easier to explain it to him than it would be to explain it to the police.

Well, arn't you a little goodie goodie........
And Police can be very understanding people. Generally easier to explain it to them than most Petrol Station Attendants I usually deal with......
Anyway, No police involved this time.......

OK guys, I have uploaded two edits to the google group. It would be great if you could tell me what you think.

Lonni, sent you an email.

Now I just need to take my shot!!

Lonni, I just posted my opinions in the group

Thanks Kai. I responded there too, and posted some critique of Vlado's shot.

I'm sorry guys, I don't think I will be able to get a shot in this time. I'm taking my dog to the vet in 1/2 hour and I'm sure he's going to say it's her time. I can't stop crying and am not in any state for taking photos. We've had her for 14 years and my kids don't now life without her. She flew to Queensland and back with us . She's had many adventures and been loved dearly. I can't bear the thought of making this decision.
I will make sure my entry in next weeks challenge is kick ass to make up for it.
Once again, I'm sorry to let the team down.

No worries Sarah - I'm so sorry about your poor puppy :(

Sarah. Totally understand. Don't stress about DPCO... Having just lost my own dog a couple of weeks ago, I whole heartedly know the pain. We're here for you if/when you need.

Sarah, very sorry to here that, loosing a loyal friend is always very sad.

Thanks guys.
The vet says she has a severe infection somewhere and is trying antibiotics to see if she picks up. He said considering the severity of the infection (her temp was 41c and rising) and her age, he isn't sure the tablets will work. We have brought her home and will nurse her untill the weekend, keeping her cool inside. If she hasn't improved by the weekend we will have to say goodbye.

Vlado, I'm so sorry to hear what happend to your dog. You must have been devastated.

You never know, I might still manage to get a shot in for this if I'm lucky.

Given that the deadline is tomorrow arvo, we probably need to start keeping track of how everyone is going.

As I understand it:

Vlado: Has a shot, is trying for another and otherwise will do some more editing on the one he has
Lonni: Is submitted
Kaiser_chief: Has a shot, but has not edited yet
Millsa: ?
Penny Lane: May not enter this week
Naomik: ?
dzone1: ?
okky: ?

Sorry if I'm stepping on your toes Vlado - please let me know if I am, it's just that I don't work on Monday and Tuesday (and Wed afternoon), so I have lots of time for chasing people :)

eta: Also, once we have a shot maybe we should submit something as a placeholder just in case something unforeseen comes up and prevents us submitting closer to the deadline.
Could everyone please let us know how you're going, cause we want to have a good start this time, seeing as the season is only 8 weeks this time.

It's been a tough set of topics for week 1, but I know us Aussies can do it!

Lonni, no need to ever apologise for such initiative. I'm happy for anyone and everyone to do whatever they think needs to be done for the team... I'm not one of those territorial type of captains that will get their nose out of joint over something like this. My toes are untouched :)

Considering switching to tilted with one of two options on the GG. Any suggestions would be grateful.
02/17/2009 09:11:39 PM · #125
I commented in the GG, Vlado. I'd switch if I were you.
