How many folks use this tool for processing? I have the opportunity to pick one up at a reasonable price. I know sometimes it's tough for me to do real detail processing with my roller ball mouse

| I have the 4x6 and it is great--takes a little getting used to, but much more precise. I would get one with a similar aspect ratio to your monitor. 4x6 is the pad area, and there is a lot of packaging around that, so it takes a fair bit of space. A buddy of mine has an 8x10, and it is HUGE :-) |

| I'm looking at a 6x8 tablet, I have a 15" laptop monitor approx 8x12 screen. How would this work? |

| Movement on the pad is scaled to match the dimensions of your screen. As said, takes a bit of getting used to but once you have tha hang of it they are indispensable tools. |

I have the 6x8 on a 19" screen and it works perfectly, couldn't live without it. I use it in lots of apps, not just PS. You'll seriously love it once you get the hang of it.

I have the big one, but I've never been able to get the hang of it. The fact that it is 4:3 and my monitors are widescreen has been a bit of an issue - you have to map it to only part of the screen.
Perhaps I'll have another go with it some time soon - I'd like to use it for dodge and burn. |

Something up with that. I have a widescreen monitor and it maps corner to corner no problem. |

| I can get it to map corner to corner but try drawing a circle and you get an ellipse.... It probably won't matter for Photoshop work but for other stuff like Freehand / Illustrator - this has been a bit of a problem. |

I have a widescreen monitor and I have the 6x11 for this reason. I don't know if it's a perfect aspect ratio match (I could do the math, I guess), but it works nicely.

I have the Intuos3 9x12" tablet. Very handy for photographs that need precision touch ups but if I had it to do over again I believe I would have gone with a smaller tablet, it takes up so much room on my desk. I find myself using it more in photo restoration than editing photographs I have taken. I guess that is due to my lack of knowledge in advance Photoshop techniques...not my ability to use the Wacom tablet.

| I've been using the Intuos 3 4x6 since October, and I love it. I use the tablet even for most normal tasks as well as all my editing. I selected the 4x6 size based on threads here and elsewhere and I'm glad I went with that size. I don't see the need for a larger size. It will be interesting to see if my opinion changes when I move to a higher resolution monitor (currently using a 22" LCD but planning something larger in the near future). |
